Specifications

  • May - December is our busiest time of the year and opportunity for year-round employment is available for various positions/roles within our team. Our delivery schedule moves to every-other-week from January through April and hours may vary week to week based on duties. Full-time and part-time positions available.
  • Wednesday through Saturday are our busiest days at the warehouse and delivering product to customers.
  • All positions require heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs. Even a bulk box of kale can get heavy!)
  • You will be standing/walking/moving almost the entire shift. Comfortable and safe footwear is a must.
  • All positions require work outdoors and/or on a refrigerated truck or warehouse.
  • We are a small business. You will have specific roles & responsibilities, and you may find some hybrid tasks with other roles based on current business needs. We all work as a team and pitch in wherever needed, especially on delivery days!
  • Fresh Fork Market is a non-smoking, drug-free company. No smoking (of any substance) is permitted at any of of facilities, at farms, at stops, on trucks, or at warehouse. We reserve the right to drug test.

packer/assembly line assistant

The Packer is responsible for the assembly of our totes that are pre-packaged for customers.

 

The ideal candidate should have:

  • Attention to detail and quality
  • Ability to follow a list of tote contents to accurately pack totes
  • Ability to move quickly & efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to work as a team player
  • Ability to stand on your feet for a full shift and lift a minimum of 50 pounds

 

Schedule: Wednesday through Friday. Approx. 20 - 25 hours per week -- hours may vary based on actual progress each day (Wednesday 7:30am – 5pm, Thursday, 9:30am - 4pm, Friday 9am - 5pm). Wednesday is usually the longest day with Thursday & Friday end times based on completion of the packing, but the hours for those days are dependent on the progress made earlier in the week.

 

You will be working with a team of Packers, set up in an assembly line fashion to pack the contents of each tote. You will be working a warehouse where you will need to be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds and be on your feet the entire shift.

 

Pay: $13.50/hr

 

Opportunity for more hours: Opportunity exists for additional hours during delivery weeks by working on the routes as a greeter (late afternoon/early evening after packing) and warehouse projects on Monday/Tuesday. Delivery Truck driver

We are looking for a driver with a Class B CDL license (preferred) and non-CDL driver to driver our smaller truck that does not require a CDL license. Wednesday through Saturday.  Driving is a small portion of the job; it is just a means to get the truck to the setup location.

  • Hours: 32 hours minimum, shifts available Wednesday thru Saturday
  • Schedule: Wednesday through Friday (afternoon shift) and Saturday (morning shift) are afternoon shifts
  • Pay based on driving experience and license
  • Clean driving record is a must.

The driver is responsible for loading the truck at the warehouse, getting it to the delivery location, and helping service customers at the location.  This includes working with the Greeter/Market staff to setup a market display, finish packing totes on the truck, and pulling special orders.

Trucks are new equipment, automatic transmission refrigerated box trucks ranging in size from 16 ft box to 24 ft box.  CDL drivers able to drive manual transmission are also welcome for two of our older trucks.

There are times that we need additional drivers on Tuesday with our farm runs to pick up product for the week and/or other earlier morning shifts Wednesday - Friday.  Drivers guaranteed a minimum of 32 hours.

warehouse supervisor / packer team lead

The Warehouse Supervisor / Packer Team Lead is responsible for the set up of inventory for the packing line. This is a full time, year-round position. This includes, and is not limited to, organizing/inventorying product in the warehouse on Monday, receiving and storing product on Tuesday afternoon/evening in an orderly manner to set the packing team up for success on Wednesday when the product starts getting packed and heading out the door. This role also includes the set up of the packing line plus managing the team of packers that will be set up Wednesday through Friday.

 

The ideal candidate should have:

  • Leadership qualities, previous management experience and strong organizational skills in a warehouse setting
  • Previous warehouse & logistics experience is a plus (staging, storing, receiving product and inventory management)
  • Attention to detail and quality
  • Ability to move quickly & efficiently in a fast-paced environment as a leader and to motivate the team of Packers
  • Ability to implement corrective actions on the spot when the team is packing
  • Ability to drive a tow motor is a plus, but not required. Training will be provided as needed.
  • Ability to stand on your feet for an extended period of time and lift a minimum of 50 pounds

 

Schedule: This is a new position and the schedule is up for discussion. Monday (hours TBD, duties include inventory management / storage prep for new incoming product), Tuesday afternoon/evening to receive fresh product from farm routes, and Wednesday through Friday 7am – 5pm (set up packing line, manage team of packers, prepare pallets for outgoing deliveries).

 

Pay based on prior warehouse + team leadership experience.

greeter

Greeters meet our trucks at the pickup location and help check-in customers, pack special orders and provide an overall positive experience for our customers. If you are interested in this role and multiple routes, we could also talk about commuting with the truck from the warehouse to the pick-up location. The greeter is responsible for:

  • Assisting customers and reviewing customer account information to call for orders on the truck
  • Filling & checking pre-orders
  • Creating orders on the spot for any extra items purchased
  • Working outdoors and on your feet for 3 to 6 hours at a time
  • Lifting up to 50 pounds during setup/tear down of the market stand

This position is great for anyone looking to pickup even just one shift per week at a location that is close to home! Opportunity exists for working multiple locations as well.
